Following this, a short boat ride leads to the nearby Sumilon Island, famous for its pristine, shifting white sandbar, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant marine sanctuary.

OSLOB WHALESHARK

The whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) in Oslob, Cebu, are massive, filter-feeding sharks—the world's largest fish—measuring up to 12-40 feet long and weighing up to 20 tons. Locally known as tuki or butanding, these gentle, grey-skinned creatures with unique white spots are attracted to the area via daily feeding, creating a popular, albeit controversial, tourist attraction.

SUMILON SANDBAR

Sumilon Sandbar, located off the coast of Oslob, Cebu, is a renowned, shifting stretch of powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-clear, azure waters. Famous for changing its shape and location depending on the season, this Marine Protected Area offers top-tier snorkeling, swimming, and diving with vibrant coral reefs.
